Korsgaden International Releases the Discussion Partner Acceleration Guide for Field Leaders

Visalia, CA, August 17, 2021 — Korsgaden International’s recently published Discussion Partner Acceleration Guide for Field Leaders provides even more options for insurance and financial services leaders to deliver unrivaled service to their clients.

The new guide is a companion to the highly acclaimed Discussion Partner Accelerator Program that provides strategies and tools to transform transaction-based businesses into customer-centered operations where both people and processes are laser-focused on delivering an exceptional experience to every customer every day.

The Acceleration Guide for Field Leaders includes two parts: a facilitator guide for delivering the program in a highly interactive format and an implementation guide for leaders to support their teams as they transition to the Discussion Partner role.

The guide’s flexible design allows leaders to customize the Accelerator program to meet their team’s unique needs. Use it to facilitate a group workshop (either in-person or virtual), as a study group guide, a one-on-one coaching guide, or even as a self-study program. Thought-provoking questions and application activities help participants examine their current processes and lead them through the transformation step by step.

“This new guide takes the Discussion Partner Accelerator Program to a new level,” says Troy Korsgaden, principal of Korsgaden International. “It engages people in the learning process by asking them to take a hard look at what it means to deliver truly exceptional service.”

Korsgaden International partnered with Debra Grommons, principal of The Write Words, to develop the guide. Grommons has more than 30 years of experience in content development and instructional design and has worked in the insurance and financial services industry for more than 20 years, including 10 years as a trainer and instructional designer at the National Life Group and 14 years with GAMA International and the GAMA Foundation (now Finseca and Finseca Foundation).

As the Chief Learning Officer for GAMA International, she authored and edited over a dozen books for insurance and financial services leaders and developed the association’s first blended-learning program, Leading from the Front. As CEO of the GAMA Foundation, Grommons led annual projects to deliver research-based resources for field leaders. She authored several of the Foundation’s publications, including the Power of Teams and the Leading Change ebook series, and designed the Building a High-Performance Business workshop.

Highly regarded in the industry, Grommons continues to develop content for organizations in insurance and financial services. “What I love about this profession is people’s willingness to share and their desire to learn,” Grommons says. “I’m not a believer in the philosophy that you should teach to the lowest level. Whether I’m writing an article or creating a program, I want to push people to grow and think in new ways. And the people I’ve been privileged to work with in this profession never disappoint.”

To support growth and new thinking, Grommons incorporated a change process into the design of the Acceleration Guide for Field Leaders. The field leader Implementation guide examines the transition to a Discussion Partner operation through the lens of three essential elements for change: execution, environment, and emotions.

“If people don’t apply what they learn and then sustain those changes, then I’ve failed,” Grommons says. “Program development isn’t just about giving people new knowledge and teaching them new skills; it’s also about supporting them through the change process. My goal isn’t to foster learning; it’s to create change through learning.”
